Miles McPherson is senior pastor of the Rock Church in San Diego and author of Do Something: Make Your Life Count and God in the Mirror. The Rock has consistently been one of the nation’s fastest-growing and largest churches, with nearly 15,000 people attending one of fifteen Sunday services, in addition to the services that are experienced through online streaming, microsites, radio and TV. Miles’ humorous, yet bold, down-to-earth style has become his trademark. Miles and his wife Debbie have three children.
Mark Hoffman is the co-founding pastor along with his brother, David, of Foothills Christian Church in El Cajon, California, and the founder of Future Quest Youth Conference. He is the executive director of Youth Venture Teen Centers and Higher Ground After-School Bible Clubs. Mark has been working with youth for over 30 years, and through his leadership currently reaches thousands of young people throughout the community.
Mike Van Meter has been on staff at Foothills Christian Church for over 17 years. As an associate pastor, Mike’s passion is helping students, young adults and men discover the power and joy of living for God. If Mike wasn’t a pastor, he would probably be a senator or the President or something. Mike, his wife, Hannah, and his three energetic yet adorable children reside in San Diego.
Cole Walowac and Dylan Housewright of Capital Kings have had a heart for music and ministry since they were in middle school – both were part of their respective church’s youth worship bands. Today, the duo seeks to mix biblical truth with the life of the party; their music is an energizing reminder, with powerful gospel-charged lyrics and rhythm to match, of how God transforms our lives and gives us the power to proclaim His name. “We want to take our talent for music and use it to glorify God with the art form of electronic music.” Their goal is to bring an alternative to the established genre while offering something their audience can connect with in a spiritual way. “We want people to connect with the music and be taken on a journey.”
Neil Hoffman has worked with young people for nearly 20 years in a variety of capacities – previously as director of Youth Venture Teen Center South El Cajon, and currently as the college/career and young families pastor at Foothills Christian Church. Neil’s witty yet thoughtful preaching style makes him a captivating, well-received speaker. He, his wife Heather, and his four rambunctious boys are eagerly awaiting boy number five, due to arrive in May.
