Youth Leaders

Youth leaders are not required for a student to participate. However, this conference is as much for youth leaders that care about youth as the youth themselves. A vital youth ministry requires committed, passionate youth leaders. In appreciation for your dedication to the youth, one youth leader will be admitted free to the conference with every 5 registered students. There will be a special track of workshops for you and your leaders. Your ministry will never be the same after you have a full core of fired-up youth leaders. Don’t miss this opportunity to impart greater vision to the youth leaders of your church.

Altar Ministry

We encourage youth leaders to minister to your own students who may respond to altar calls, since you know them best. Counselors and ministry team workers will also be available to assist any students who request prayer.


We do not allow backpacks and other large items in our general sessions. A secure locker room will be available for checking in personal belongings. You get a claim number and peace of mind when you don’t want to carry around your belongings.



Meeting rooms are available upon request for individual churches to meet together during the conference. These rooms will help you to focus your students on what they have learned and maximize the impact on your ministry.

T-shirts, Session DVDs, etc.

Future Quest will have T-shirts and session DVDs available for sale during the conference, as well as merchandise from our guest speakers and bands. The coffee and snack bar will also be open. It would be helpful to let all registrants know this in advance so that they may plan accordingly.




What is Future Quest?

Future Quest is a church-based youth conference that features large general sessions, equipping workshops as well as free time for outreach activities and fun. Future Quest exists to encounter the reality, power and glory of God through passionate worship and the proclamation of His truth, and to train up young people to be bold disciples of Jesus. Future Quest is designed for students entering 7th thru 12th grades.

Who sponsors Future Quest?

The conference is presented by Foothills Christian Church in conjunction with Foothills Christian High School, Youth Venture Teen Centers, and Higher Ground Bible Clubs.


How long has this conference been in existence?

Future Quest was started in 1998 and is now entering its 20th year!

What will students do all day?

Students are required to attend sessions when they are on campus including small break out workshops (no loitering in halls or outside). During free time, teens have many options including participating in organized neighborhood outreaches, transportation is provided. More information can be found on the attractions and outreaches pages on the website.

How do students register?

Students may register after any service at Foothills Christian Church beginning June 3rd, or REGISTER ONLINE. Call the Future Quest hotline for more info, (619) 442-1467

Can parents visit Future Quest?

Parents are welcome to come by and check out Future Quest for an hour at no charge; just stop by the registration table for a visitor pass.




Where is the conference located?

Foothills Christian Church; located at 365 West Bradley Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92020 The mailing address is 350 B Cypress Lane, El Cajon, CA 92020 619 442-1467.

How much does the conference cost?

$38 to attend all three days for both students and adults; $45 if purchased after June 19th. The daily rate is $20.00. There are also several activities offered at deeply discounted rates such as Boomers and bowling; arrangements to attend these options can be made at check in. If an event is held off campus free transportation will be provided.

Can students just sign up to attend the concert?

Yes. The daily rate is $20.00.

Do students need extra money?

Food is available for sale on campus at very reasonable rates. There are also several fast food restaurants within short walking distance. T-shirts, devotionals and CD’s are also available for sale at Future Quest.

Will students be well supervised during the event?

We have a large number of registered adult volunteers who will be in each session, on campus, and at our organized off-campus venues throughout the duration of the event. In addition to this we have a trained security staff that is in place before, during, and after Future Quest. We ask that students participate in organized activities during free time; it is, however, an open campus.

What time should students be picked up?

The evening teaching session is scheduled to conclude at approximately 9:30pm. Each evening session is followed by a live concert that ends around 10:15pm. Please see the full CONFERENCE SCHEDULE for a more complete timeline.
